Lego Design 2 (Grades 4-6)

Appropriate for students in Grades 4-8 This class will focus on building Lego Vehicles and Lego Technic elements from the Lego Educational Division. Your child will gain understanding of how wheels, axels, levers and gears work together to make vehicles move. The children will have the opportunity to hook up a motor and battery to their vehicles and race! Using some of the math and science concepts learned in school and in this class, your child will build Battlebots out of Lego materials from the Lego Educational Division. (S)he will work with a team to create vehicles that will compete in the battle ring! Your child will learn about torque, tension, force, friction and compound gearing. Bring your imagination and your competitive spirit, this class is high speed fun! Cost includes a Lego prize for you to take home! Taught by Staff from Bee Smart Learning.
